Hafiz Ibn Taymiyyah Ulamae Deoband Ki Nazr Mein

Few figures in Islamic intellectual history have provoked such passionate debate across the centuries as Taqī ad-Dīn Aḥmad ibn Taymiyyah (661–728 AH / 1263-1328 CE). His towering intellect and prolific writings continue to inspire devoted followers while simultaneously drawing sharp criticism from other scholars.

In this work, the author attempts to shed light on the perspectives of some scholars related to the school of Deoband regarding Ḥāfiẓ Ibn Taymiyyah and their critical engagement with his opinions, sourced from a wide variety of their works. What comes to light is that they all differed in their approach, with some being more critical and others more appreciating. While the conclusions that have been reached are open for disagreement and further research, the efforts of the author is commendable.
